One size does not fit all when it comes to the college experience. Students come to UCLA from all walks of life, bringing with them their experiences, talents, and passions. And each one finds unique successes and challenges along the way.

Student Affairs supports the success of all UCLA students, fostering their intellectual, personal, social and professional development in preparation for the entirety of their lives. Student success comes in many forms, which is why Student Affairs is committed to meeting the ever-changing needs of our students by providing a variety of campus resources. These inclusive resources include support for nontraditional or underrepresented backgrounds, such as students with disabilities, transfer students, undocumented students, former foster youth, parenting students, and veterans.

The Student Success fund (formerly known as Students’ Greatest Needs fund) is one more resource that helps close financial gaps, whether for students facing unexpected hardships or for helping Bruins take advantage of valuable programs that help them grow. Gifts to the flexible fund enable UCLA to offer students responsive support, such as:

• Getting students through tough times of transition and crisis
• Providing essential physical, mental, and emotional health services that promote health, healing, and hope
• Creating effective mentorship, leadership, and experiential learning opportunities
• Giving students career guidance, bolstered by a powerful alumni network and extensive corporate partnerships
• Offering recreational activities and student groups that build skills and community
