Support Bruin Wildfire Relief

Our hearts remain with everyone affected by the wildfires that swept through Los Angeles County in January 2025. While headlines may have faded, recovery continues for members of the Bruin community whose lives were disrupted by loss, displacement and ongoing financial strain.

In the immediate aftermath of the fires, alumni, parents, friends, faculty and staff came together with extraordinary generosity to support one another. That outpouring of care made it possible for UCLA to provide emergency relief to employees facing unexpected hardship, while also sustaining critical resources for students whose education and well-being were impacted.

Today, UCLA’s Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT) remains a vital source of support for students affected by the wildfires and other unforeseen crises. Through emergency housing assistance, meal vouchers and access to essential campus resources, ECRT helps ensure that students can remain safe, stable and focused on their education as recovery continues.
