The UCLA College of Letters and Science is the academic heart of the university.

Home to more than three-quarters of UCLA’s undergraduates, the UCLA College is the vibrant crossroads where Bruins work side-by-side to bring new knowledge to light, find their voices, solve urgent problems and reach — and exceed — their full potential.

The College’s four academic divisions — humanities, life sciences, physical sciences and social sciences — span traditional and emerging disciplines in the liberal arts and sciences. A fifth division, undergraduate education, serves as the campus driver of excellence and innovation for students’ experience.

Taught by distinguished, world-renowned faculty, the UCLA College’s undergraduate and graduate students go on to become compassionate, innovative changemakers and leaders in every field; they exemplify the highest ideals of higher education and make a blue-and-gold impact for the better on California and the world.
