• The Sustainable LA Grand Challenge brings together researchers from across campus in the quest for Los Angeles to meet 100% of its energy needs from renewable sources and 100% of its water needs from local sources.

• The Institute of the Environment and Sustainability offers degree programs and inter-disciplinary engagement, with research ranging from environmental justice to marine biodiversity and beyond.

• Undergraduate and graduate student organizations connect with campus and local communities to foster discussion and action on issues surrounding carbon neutrality, sustainable agriculture, environmentally friendly clothing and more.
