Leadership: Developing the Next Generation of Latino Leaders

LPPI empowers future leaders by providing students with policy training, professional development, research skills, and mentorship. Through our Policy Fellows Program, we’ve trained over 100 students to become advocates and leaders in policy, government, and academia. Alumni fellows have gone on to work in legislative offices, local government, and research and advocacy organizations. By supporting our work, you help us nurture diverse voices, ensuring that those shaping policy represent the communities they serve.

Research for Action: Evidence to inform effective policy for Latino communities

Our research examines the unique experiences of Latinos across California and the nation. Recent projects include the development of the Latino Data Hub – a groundbreaking digital platform created to meet the growing demand for accessible, disaggregated data on Latino communities – and studies on Latino homelessness, mortgage discrimination, and improving access to telehealth services for underserved communities. From healthcare access and housing disparities to political representation, LPPI delivers actionable insights that shape policy solutions through collaborations with government officials, civic leaders, and community partners.
