Help our students succeed

Bruin Tech Award

• Provide remote learning resources for students who don’t have them and need them to continue learning and excelling in their classes.

Economic Crisis Response Fund

• Provide funding during the COVID-19 crisis for students who have lost work and other resources key to paying for and making the most of their education.

Community Programs Office (CPO) Food Closet

• Make sure students who might be food insecure because of COVID-19-related job losses get the sustenance they need to continue excelling in school.

UCLA Health System's President's Strategic Fund

• As we continue to comprehensively address the demands of COVID-19 while caring for our larger community of patients, you can provide critical support through the UCLA Health System's President's Strategic Fund. Gifts to the President's Strategic Fund allow us to meet challenges as they arise—including crises like COVID-19—while preparing for the health care needs of tomorrow, including enhancing the patient experience, investing in state-of-the-art medical equipment and expanding UCLA Health locations.

COVID‐19 Coronavirus Research and Education

• The exploration of the pathogenesis and transmission of the coronavirus family, including COVID-19
• The development and scaling up of novel diagnostic tests and therapeutics
• Seed research to combat emerging infectious diseases
• Infectious disease education for health care providers and the public

Feeding the Front Line Fund

• Courageous and skilled, UCLA healthcare professionals work around the clock to treat, comfort, and heal our patients when they need it most. When you make a gift to the #Team LA: Feeding the Front Line Fund, you’re helping UCLA Health provide complimentary cafeteria meals, coffee, and snacks to medical professionals during their shifts. Having access to hot entrees, soups, salads, deli items, and so much more means that our doctors, nurses, and staff have the fuel they need to do their very best.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) and In-Kind Product Donations

• We are closely monitoring PPE needs to ensure preparedness for safe pandemic response and patient care. Although our inventory is currently stable, we will continue to review offers of large PPE donations. If you have large quantities to donate, please contact COVID19PPESupport@mednet.ucla.edu

UCLA Dentistry COVID-19 Response – Student Support

• Provide the School of Dentistry with the ability to support students experiencing financial hardship during the pandemic and beyond.

School of Nursing COVID-19 Crisis Support Fund

• Provide emergency support to nursing students and faculty who, because of COVID-19, are experiencing financial hardship that adversely affects their ability to succeed at UCLA.
• Address the immediate needs of faculty who are seeking support for research and other activities related to addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID‐19 Public Health Response and Preparedness

• Provide funding to help experts understand and advise the public concerning infection, transmission, containment, and mitigation of this severe and deadly virus.

UCLA Samueli COVID-19 Community Support Fund

• Help UCLA Samueli ensure all Bruin Engineers have access to the resources they need for continued academic success in this new virtual learning environment.

University Librarian’s COVID-19 Response Fund

• Help UCLA Library provide students with equipment, access to online materials, and research assistance they need while they learn remotely.
• Support collaboration among UCLA Health, engineering, and the library to create prototypes for medical devices, 3D-print face shields for local medical organizations, and freely share PPE designs and information.
